Kathleen Spight is an associate in the Memphis office. She attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration. Kathleen Spight is an associate in the Memphis office. She attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration. She is a 2024 graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where she held various leadership roles and received multiple awards and honors. During law school, Kathleen served as the Associate Chief Justice of the University of Memphis School of Law Moot Court Board, where she sharpened her oral advocacy and legal writing skills. She furthered her leadership and communication skills and gained invaluable experience by serving as the Treasurer of the Student Bar Association, a Peer Mentor, and a Graduate Assistant for the Tennessee Pre-Law Institute. She was the recipient of the Benjamin L. Hooks and Memphis Access and Diversity Law Scholarships, and she was honored as a recipient of the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award and recognized as the Outstanding Pupil of the Year by the Leo Bearman, Sr. Chapter of the American Inn of Court. She also has experience with nonprofits and governmental entities, as she was a law clerk for the American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities and was a legal extern at the Memphis City Attorney’s office.
Outside of the legal arena, Kathleen, as a native Memphian, enjoys supporting her community through volunteer work. She also enjoys cheering on the Tennessee Vols, cooking, and traveling, especially to Chicago to spend time with her husband.
