Weslen Lakins is a licensed attorney and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) focusing on real estate, corporate, and data security and information privacy law. Lakins has experience preparing and negotiating complex commercial contracts, conducting privacy impact assessments, responding to data breaches, and overseeing the purchase, refinance, lease, and sale of residential and commercial properties. In addition to his professional achievements, Lakins contributes to several open-source web development projects and serves as a mentor for various entrepreneurial organizations assisting startups and established companies across Tennessee. He is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and the American, Knoxville, and Tennessee Bar Associations.
