Mikel Towe, shareholder in Lewis Thomason’s Knoxville office, has been named President of Nucleus Knoxville. Towe has served on the Board of Nucleus Knoxville since 2017 and was vice-president in 2020.
Towe graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law and devotes his practice to civil litigation focusing primarily in the areas of insurance litigation involving automobile and trucking accidents, products liability, commercial liability, general liability, as well as insurance coverage and claims litigation. Towe often handles complex, high-exposure litigation matters from the pre-litigation investigation phase through their conclusion.
Among his many professional accomplishments, Towe has previously served as president and vice-president of the Knoxville Bar Association Barristers, the Knoxville Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Division. He served on the Knoxville Bar Board of Governors 2018-2020. Towe has been named Mid-South Super Lawyers® Rising Star, 2019-2020 and was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for his work in Insurance Law, Litigation/Labor and Employment, and Personal Injury Litigation/Defendants.
