Michael Goode and J. Wallace Irvin (Wally), Shareholders in Lewis Thomason’s Nashville office, have been named Fellows of the Nashville Bar Foundation. The NBF Fellows program honors colleagues within the Nashville Bar who have been in practice for at least ten (10) years, made outstanding contributions to the legal profession and to the public good, and demonstrated a strong commitment to the goals of the Foundation.
Goode focuses his practice on tax, business, and estate planning needs of families and businesses. On an international level, he also assists companies and individuals with their corporate and estate planning needs. He also serves as a trusted advisor to governmental agencies and companies on various taxation issues. Goode assists United States companies with their international business issues and assists foreign companies in establishing a presence in the United States.
Among his many professional achievements, Goode is a Member of the Standing Committee on International Trade in Legal Services of the American Bar Association, named to The Best Lawyers in America®, and Super Lawyers. He is a member of Harry Phillips American Inn of Court, the American Bar Association, the Georgia Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association.
Irvin concentrates his practice on the construction industry. He provides valuable counsel to clients in contract negotiations, project administration, closeout procedures, construction defect defense, and the assertion and enforcement of lien and bond claims. He is also a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Civil Mediator where he plays a critical role in facilitating constructive resolutions in complex legal disputes.
Among his many professional achievements, Irvin was in the Leadership Middle Tennessee, the Nashville Bar Foundation Leadership Forum, and the AGC Construction Leadership Program. He is ranked in Chambers, named in The Best Lawyers in America®, Super Lawyers, and has an AV Martindale Hubbell rating.
