The Tennessee Bar Association recently hosted the TBA Top Golf: Estate Planning Tee-Off at Top Golf Nashville. Shareholder Michael Goode spoke on The Corporate Transparency Act (“CTA”), which went into effect on January 1, 2024. The CTA mandates that many U.S. businesses report detailed information about their beneficial owners to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network of the U.S. Department of Treasury. Michael’s presentation covered key provisions of the CTA and its impact on compliance requirements for businesses. Michael focuses his practice on the tax, business, and estate planning needs of families and businesses. On an international level, he also assists companies and individuals with their corporate and estate planning needs, including the resolution of reporting requirements.
