Jim Weatherly recently spoke at the Portrait Unveiling of former Mayor Bill Purcell at the AA Birch Criminal Justice Building. The portrait was to commemorate the former Mayor’s contributions to our court system with the remodeling of the Metro Courthouse and the construction of the AA Birch Building during his administration. Following the unveiling, Lewis Thomason hosted a reception in the former Mayor’s honor. Jim is Special Counsel in the firm’s Nashville office. He began his career with a focus on criminal law, resulting in his past election as the public defender for Metro Nashville-Davidson County, Tennessee. While his criminal law practice continues he has a strong concentration on family law. He has served as President of the Nashville Bar Association, the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee.
