David Garst was recently recognized for his contributions as founder of the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel (TACC) at its 20th Year Gala in Nashville. Past and current members addressed David’s contributions as “Godfather” of the preeminent professional organization of Tennessee construction lawyers. The celebration occurred during the annual meeting at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Event Hall on November 9 and 10, 2023. David is a shareholder in Lewis Thomason’s Nashville office, where he serves a pivotal role as the chair of the Construction Law Practice Group and on the firm’s Board of Directors. David’s legal practice is focused on general construction law, with emphases on architects’ and engineers’ professional liability, construction defect litigation, design and construction contract negotiation, and professional discipline.
