David Chapman spoke at the recent ALFA International CLE webinar on Current Status of Broker Liability – Preemption and Legislative Action. The webinar discussed the changing landscape of broker liability, including the impact and potential impact of proposed legislation and regulations, as well as the status of defenses and claims such as federal preemption, right to control, and carrier selection. David is a shareholder in the firm’s Knoxville office who focuses his practice primarily on the defense of local and national transportation companies, brokers, and commercial motor operators. He has also worked with multiple motor carriers and transportation companies regarding post-accident protocols and FMCSA compliance.
