Mr. Lakins has experience preparing and negotiating complex commercial contracts, conducting privacy impact assessments, responding to data breaches, and overseeing the purchase, refinance, lease, and sale of residential and commercial properties.
Prior to joining the firm, Weslen was employed at Fidelity National Financial where he was responsible for making coverage determinations for claims submitted by insured owners and lenders, responding to Department of Insurance complaints, and working with outside counsel to resolve the insured’s claim while limiting the company’s exposure. Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Lakins contributes to several open-source web development projects and serves as a mentor for various entrepreneurial organizations assisting startups and established companies across Tennessee. Born and raised in Corryton, TN, Weslen enjoys spending time with his family, maintaining an active lifestyle, and cheering on the Vols.
