The new year brought a new identity for two of the state’s renowned law firms, thanks to a merger of their legal offices that stretch from the banks of the Mississippi River to the mountains of East Tennessee.
Beginning in January, Lewis, King, Krieg & Waldrop in Knoxville merged operations with Memphis-based Thomason, Hendrix, Harvey, Johnson & Mitchell to establish one of the largest Tennessee-based firms in the Volunteer State.
Now known as Lewis Thomason, the firm includes offices in Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville and employs 90 attorneys. More than a half-dozen lawyers have joined the firm in the last year, and its total number is expected to surpass 100 in the next 12 months.
