Ray Babaoglu, a shareholder in Lewis Thomason’s Memphis office, spoke on his experiences in immigration court over the many decades that he practiced. He happened to be on the panel with the director the US immigration courts. He and the director of the US immigration courts both acknowledged that the courts are facing increased caseloads and years of delays in getting to full hearings. Suggestions were made to alleviate the problems. Many other issues of concern were raised and addressed by the panel. There’s no question that this facilitated communication between the immigration court system and immigration law practitioners. Please see attached agenda and the Memphis Commercial Appeal article by Dan Connolly, below, concerning one of the topics discussed, the Wuhan virus.
